Description
Château Haut-Bages Monpelou has been part of the Castéja family heritage since the 16th century. The "little brother" of Château Batailley was once attached to Château Duhart-Milon, the family's former property, before being separated from it in 1950.
The château was then bought by Marcel Borie from the Kressmann family, who owned it from the Castéja family.
The vineyard is now run as an independent estate by the Batailley technical team.
The wine produced is elegant and full-bodied, thanks to a particularly well thought-out grape variety.

Tasting
Appearance: Purple color dress.
Aroma: Expressive and fruity. The grape aromas mix with the sweetness of vanilla.
Palate: This wine is supple and light. A sensation of youth is found in the strong and powerful tannins that line the palace.
Food pairing: Ideally tasted on red meats (roasted beef with cepes) and character cheeses.
Service: Great wine (to keep: five to eight years).
