Description
Let's delve into the past to reveal a rich and complex history secretly preserved in the archives of Château Larrivet Haut-Brion.
From 1840 to the present day, the reputation of Château Larrivet Haut-Brion has grown steadily, first as "Château de Canolle", then as "La Rivette", then successively as "La Rivette" and "Brion-Larrivet", but it was not until 1874 that the estate acquired its almost definitive name.
In 1929, the property finally found its name: Château Larrivet Haut-Brion.

Tasting
Appearance : A dark, dense, ruby hue with blue glints.
on the Nose : reveals floral, fruity aromas with a touch of crushed red berry fruits coming to the fore. Smoky aromas then appear with a mingling of liquorice, toast and spices.
On the palate : the structure is pleasant, round and fleshy and has silky, nicely extracted tannins. The finish is long with red berry fruit flavours showing through together with spices and a Cabernet Sauvignon toasty note, a characteristic of the wines produced in the great Pessac Léognan terroirs.
A classic wine, to be enjoyed in four to ten years after the harvest.
