Description
Named "Flechas de los Andes" in homage to the 5 arrows, emblem of the Rothschild family, the bodega was born from the association between Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault, in their quest for a great terroir at the foot of the Andes. The vineyard, planted since 1999, benefits from a dry climate, tempered by the high altitudes of the Andes (1100m): on this unique terroir, the Malbec grape reigns supreme. This partnership between the two families, as well as their common desire to produce an Argentinean wine of excellence, gave birth to Gran Malbec, a pure Argentinean Malbec.
Tasting
Eye : Intense purple colour, typical of this variety
Nose : The nose is expressive, dominated by fruity aromas of plums and cherries, and floral aromas of violets characteristic of Uco Malbec.
Mouth : The attack is round with fine, dense tannins that give a magnificent centre to the mouth. The mineral character, freshness, subtle oak contribution and long finish make this wine an example of quality, elegance and excellence.
