Castiglioni - Chianti 2021

Owned by the family since the 11th century, Castiglioni is the original centre of Frescobaldi wine production, as evidenced by the fact that they began their activities in 1300.the estate stretches along the ancient Via di Castiglioni, built by the Romans to connect northern Tuscany with Rome, the Eternal City.

Appearance: a bright ruby colour.

Nose: fruity with notes reminiscent of redcurrant, raspberry, marasca and wild strawberry. On the finish, a beautiful floral sensation is accompanied by spicy notes such as cloves.

Palate: Chianti Castiglioni is lively and fresh with nice tannins that are present but not overwhelming. The finish is beautiful, long, clean and delicate.

Food & Wine Pairing: Full-bodied dishes such as pappardelle in meat sauce, roast chicken, sautéed beef with vegetables and middle-aged cheeses.
