Description
For 130 years, the house has been in the hands of the family. Today, the fourth generation continues the quest for that "elegant perfection" for which Joseph Drouhin wines are known, by perpetuating tradition and innovating. The Domaine Joseph Drouhin has been built up over the decades and now comprises 73 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Chablis.
With approximately 90 appellations, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, Joseph Drouhin offers a fascinating discovery of the Burgundian terroir, with respect for the land, the vines and the environment.
Tasting
Eye: Joseph Drouhin Aligoté Bourgogne has a bright platinum yellow colour in the wine glass.
Nose: This Joseph Drouhin white wine has all sorts of green apples and lemons. As if this were not already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds smoky notes.
Mouth: Joseph Drouhin Aligoté Bourgogne starts off wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. It is dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the latter group, as it was vinified with only 1.4 g of residual sugar. The texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp on the palate. Thanks to its fruity acidity, Aligoté Bourgogne is fresh and lively in the mouth. The finish of this young white wine from the Burgundy wine region finally convinces with a good persistence.
Service: Best served chilled at 8 - 10°C
Food pairing: Perfect with cabbage rolls, leek tortilla or spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce.
