Description
Discreet but well-established, Château Clinet, recognisable by its red shutters and pretty matching rosebushes, rests on the heights of the famous plateau in the heart of Pomerol.
The property is attached to one of the oldest vineyards in the appellation, dating back to 1595, but also one of the most renowned, known for the incomparable character and quality of its wines.
Tasting
Eye : a ruby-purple colour.
Nose : Very aromatic, the nose develops flavours of jammy raspberries, blackberries, plums and liquorice. Then the aromas evolve to reveal toast, brown sugar and Jamaican pepper.
Palate : The creamy, silky texture is reminiscent of the CLINET signature. Soft and delicate, the palate presents notes of cherries and wild fruits, with increasing intensity. The whole remains balanced and very refreshing.
This is an excellent wine, which should be drunk between 5 and 15 years.
