Description
Since 1962, the Mourre family has been producing wines in Vacqueyras, Rhône valley, SE of France.
With a training of geologist, Jean-Louis Mourre took over the estate in 1995. He considers the sedimentary soils, the flora, the climate and the wine making in order to make a consistent quality each vintage.
Le Colombier produces around 18000 cases of wine per year of AOP Vacqueyras, AOP Côtes du Rhône, AOP Ventoux and IGP Méditerranée. The size of the estate is 22 Hectares.
Tasting
Appearance: ruby red colour
Aroma : Cherry and small red fruit appear immediately
Palate : A very good balance between tannins, acidity and alcohol
Serving temperature : 16° - 18°C
Food pairing : Turkey prepared with thyme and rosemary or other grilled white meat, medium flavoured cheese
