Cépage Pinot Noir
Sol clay and limestone
Elevage in barrels (20% in a new oak)

Description

There must have been vines planted here for a long time. More than 2,000 years ago, the Gauls selected and propagated the Pinot Noir grape in this location. A temple dedicated to Pomona, the Celtic goddess, may be at the origin of the name.

Tasting

"A great Burgundy, worthy of its reputation. An intense, bright, red colour; a powerful nose, with notes of black cherry and spice, evolving towards aromas of young leather. On the palate, the tannins give a certain impression of firmness, somewhat softened by a nice, harmonious texture. Persistent flavors in the aftertaste".

Tasting note by Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Vintage
Côte de Beaune: the wines develop a supple structure with plesant tannins. Côte de Nuits: the wines have more concentration but they are easy to taste. They all display deep colours. They are evolving nicely, increasing in complexity and elegance.
