Château Pipeau
Château Pipeau - Grand Cru 2018
Saint-Emilion - aoc

Cépage Merlot
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Franc

Description

Château Pipeau has belonged to the Mestreguilhem family for four generations, and is located in Saint-Laurent des Combes. The family also owns Château Joinin.

Starting with seven hectares in 1929, the Château Pipeau vineyard now has 25 hectares of vines, at the foot of the slope of the famous village of Saint-Emilion (clay-limestone and deep sand). In order to reduce its impact on the environment, Château Pipeau is committed to a reasoned approach, harvesting by hand and making wine in the traditional way, respecting the fruit aromas.

Tasting

Eye : a beautiful dark Bordeaux colour

Nose : powerful and fine at the same time, very Merlot with its ripe and greedy fruitiness, all in an elegant woody, liquorice and smoky wake.

Palate : Very Merlot, the wine is suave, round as desired, full-bodied without being heavy, tannic without being aggressive, woody with precision. In short, a most harmonious whole, which will please both young and old.
