Description

This was the first vineyard to be planted in Antiquity, while the rest of the region was still covered with chestnut trees. It may get its name form Jules Caesar himself.

Tasting

"Finesse and depth characterize this wine. Beautiful red colour with raspberry hues. The bouquet is particularly elegant, with notes of wild berries. In the mouth, the wine is fleshy, with a good structure. Long and aromatic sensation in the aftertaste".

Tasting note by Véronique Boss-Drouhin

Vintage

The wines show an intense, dark, almost black colour. Notes of black fruit and spices. Extremely supple, it is one of the best vintages since 2003. 2009 is showing its breed and will rightfully take its place among those vintages ending in "9" in the last century, as well as 2005, 1978, 1961...
