Tasting

A return to the roots!

After sunny and generous vintages that produced rather colourful, fleshy and vinous primeur wines, 2021 is a return to a much more classic and primeur style. It is also the smallest harvest of the last 30 years, mainly due to the spring frost.

The decuvages are coming to an end in Beaujolais, and malolactic fermentations are underway. We are continuing our tastings in the region to select the vintages from our usual winegrowing partners.

The first tastings show that the wines have a nice purplish colour, moderately intense, with clear, very fruity aromas, rather red fruits, such as raspberries and redcurrants, with an intense freshness.

A return to a much more fruity and light style.
